Beirut Living: Designer May Daouk's Villa

This stunning home in Beirut, Lebanon belongs to interior designer May Daouk, who moved back there from New York 10 years ago. She remade this gorgeous late 19th century villa with a sea view and a tree shaded terrace. Her home oozes tradition with a mix of western influences. The Triple arch is key to the home, and is also a traditional feature of Lebanese homes, that works as a divider to break the open home into a smaller rooms. Each room boasts its own colour scheme and eclectic decor, but purple and gold are prevalent throughout the home.

Greenhouse Colour Pop

With all the plants, this room could become very monotoned and cool, but the warm pops of colour scattered around the room give it a light, airy feel. I love the 60s converted jewel blue couch, and the tri-coloured columns that define the rooms space.
